Mashrabeya Shelving System

Reviving the Mashrabeya woodwork which is a historical craft based on the idea of reusing and repurposing the small pieces of wood (leftovers of carpentry, since wood is an imported material to Egypt). It consists of panels and shelves. The panels are 30 cm in width and 180 cm in height. The shelves are2 categories 30x30 cm and 30x15 cm, they are used both horizontally and vertically. The product is used for storage of books, newspaper and magazines. It can be used as decorative screen between 2 spaces, providing privacy and connectivity.
